Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ideal form of treatment as it offers women drug-free relief for a multitude of problems that can arise during pregnancy and childbirth.

  • Nausea, vomiting, constipation

  • Fatigue and exhaustion

  • Anxiety, insomnia,

  • Blood circulation issues, variscose veins, haemorrhoids oedema

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • Lower back pain and sciatica

  • Threatened premature birth

  • Breech and posterior positions

Some women choose to have acupuncture as a prebirth treatment when the reach the gestational age of 36-37 weeks. Feedback suggests that prebirth acupuncture offers a range of positive effects including not only the time spent in labour but a reported reduced  rate of medical intervention.
