Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a science of human physiology and mechanics, employing a system of diagnosis and treatment of the person as a whole. The osteopath is most concerned with free motion and alignment of the body framework and its relationship to organ function, circulation, and th nervous system.

Cranial Osteopathy is a very safe, gentle, effective form of osteopathy that is suitable for babies of all ages. It can help if the baby suffers from any of the following:

  •  Traumatic or long delivery such as: delivery using instruments (forceps or ventouse delivery), born with the cord around the neck, swallow of maconium at birth

  • Caesarian section delivery - Quick delivery

  • Unsettled, irritable and restlessness babies (crying lots) - Sleep disturbances

  • Problem with digestion (windy babies, colic symptoms, reflux...) - Misshapen head

  • Feeding difficulties (latching problems, tongue tie...) - Eczema

Osteopathy for mother during pregnancy and after delivery.

Osteopathy isn't just for babies; it can also be beneficial to mothers too, and it is SAFE during the pregnancy.

After giving birth, osteopathic treatment can help the mother return to normal, physically and mentally, after birth by releasing strains from both pregnancy and labour. This allows her to relax and enjoy her new baby.

You may be experiencing backache, pain under your ribs, or discomfort in the pelvic area.

Gentle osteopathic treatments are perfectly safe at all stages during pregnancy and after.
